1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sahel's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Service Description

Sahel provides on-demand and scheduled grocery delivery services. We partner with local stores to offer fresh produce, dairy, pantry staples, and prepared foods delivered to your door quickly and safely.

3. User Responsibilities

When using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about deliveries
  • Ensure items are properly packaged and prepared for transport
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not ship prohibited or illegal items
  • Make payment for services rendered in a timely manner
  • Be available or designate a representative for pickup and delivery

4. Prohibited Items and Age-Restricted Goods

The following items are prohibited or restricted for delivery:

  • Illegal substances, weapons, or contraband
  • Hazardous materials or explosives
  • Perishable items shipped without proper packaging or refrigeration arrangements
  • Alcohol and tobacco products where prohibited by law or without proper age verification
  • Living animals or plants (without prior approval)
  • Stolen goods or counterfeit items

5. Pricing and Payment

Delivery fees are calculated based on distance, package size, value, and service level. All prices are quoted in advance and must be paid before or upon delivery. We accept major credit cards and digital payment methods. Additional fees may apply for special handling or rush deliveries.

6. Insurance and Liability

We provide basic insurance coverage for deliveries where applicable. Our liability is limited to the declared value of the item or the insurance coverage amount, whichever is applicable. We are not liable for:

  • Damage caused by improper packaging
  • Delays due to circumstances beyond our control
  • Loss or damage to prohibited items
  • Indirect or consequential damages

7. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before scheduled pickup receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee. No refunds are provided once pickup has occurred, except in cases of service failure or quality issues documented at delivery.

8. Claims and Disputes

Any claims for loss, spoilage, or damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Claims must include photographic evidence and detailed descriptions. We will investigate all claims promptly and work to resolve disputes fairly.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sahel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

10. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable local laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.
